Not sure what Moregellons is, but one spring I had the worst itching on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. The only thing that relieved it was a shower with a vegetable scrub brush!! UNTIL my naturopath suggested I make a paste of plantain weeds. I went to the driveway pulled them up, threw them in my Cuisinart, blended and smeared them on my hands and feet then covered with gauze. Seemed to work.

Jan, I wish I knew how to help you.

The best thing would be to try different suggestions from this list one at a

time until you find something that works for you. Unfortunately not a lot

is known about this emerging disease. Some people have responded to

antimicrobials, but not all. The current thought is it might be some kind

of parasite that directs the cells or are themselves producing the fibrous

threads that cause the crawling/itching sensations.

From what I’ve read, it looks like

it is a systemic infection, not just affecting the skin. Patients usually

have some complaint of ongoing “brain fog” and memory

problems. The problem is we don’t know what is causing it; it could

be a fungus or a protozoa or something else entirely. If an anti-fungal

herbal protocol seems to help, at least that would give us a clue.

I don't want to be the one to cause people on the list to get the " deer

in the headlights " look, but here is my take. Change your diet.

Although I didn't always agree with Don, I think that he was absolutely

right about all of the garbage we eat.

I have had open sores on my body legs & arms, huge absesses in my mouth,

headaches, the beginnings of arthritis, exzema, terrible heartburn

verging on ulceration, and weighed 235 pounds. I eat raw food *most of

the time* (sigh), and as long as I am good, my body seeks to heal

itself.

Several weeks ago, I broke down and started eating the standard American

diet. I did it for about two weeks. And the exzema started all over my

right hand. I also had to go back to an analgesic for headache, and had

no energy in the mornings.

If you really really want to get rid of it, if you are really desperate,

why don't you try a change in diet? It wouldn't hurt you. It is cheaper

than a lot of bandaid cures. I mean, I can't guarantee that it would

help, but if it were me, I would certainly try it.

Maybe start with a three day juice fast. It is helpful because you are

so busy drinking juice, it's a little easier to not eat white flour,

dairy, sugar, ... And, after the three day juice fast, it is easier to

consume smoothies, salads, fruit and vegetables out of hand, ...

Just my 2 cents.

I forgot to say that all of the open sores have healed, the exzema has

gone away, I don't have any arthritis, I don't have headaches if I eat

well, and I have lost 60 pounds so far.
