I was wondering if most of your supplies come from bulk

foods health food stores etc?

I'm getting ready to order some herbs to make some in the next couple days. I'm running low and need a new supply. I get my organic herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs. For Total Nutrition I don't get the whole herb...I order it in powder form. They offer most of their herbs either whole, cut or powdered. I order 1/2 pound of 11 different herbs and it makes 5.5 pounds of Total Nutrition. That lasts me quite awhile.

If I may ask, and you can answer me privately, how much does this cost you?

Right now I've calculated that getting 8 oz. of 11 different herbs is going to cost about $86 including shipping.

Yes . I don't know i guess it depends on what quantity you are making... meaning a part being 1/4 cup or 1 whole cup. depends on the amount of volume. So I'll be placing my order tomorrow!!

...Mountain Rose has an on-line catalog. I usally make up my list and then

call their 800 number and place the order over the phone. Just make sure you order the powder version of the herb. I once ordered reishi mushroom and they sent me the whole dried mushroom. My mistake. It's huge and hard as a rock and I haven't been able to make a dent in cutting it. For Total Nutrition think POWDER form. Then I take about a half cup of each herb, put it all in an airtight container and keep doing that with more batches until there is none left. I throw in extra wheat grass so I get a whole pound of that.

them very much!

Aren't they great? I order all my herbs from them. They are super nice people and the herbs are fresh and good quality. Very good prices for organic.

now, and it looks pretty good. What size capsules do you use?

Ya know what???... I almost bought that capsule machine from Mtn.Rose then changed my mind. I bought the "00" capsules but decided I'll fill them by hand like I've been doing for years. So I haven't tried the machine.

The catalog says you can fill 24 capsules in 2 minutes. It takes me much longer to fill that many by hand.

I'd love to be able to order a ton of stuff from them but I have to keep a budget and stick to what is a priority right now. Total Nutrition is something I don't want to run out of so the whole order was basically those herbal powders. Oh...I also ordered a pound of organic tumeric from them....that's what I'll put in capsules.

because I have problems swallowing bigger pills. Lately though I have been lazy

and just ordered the herbs I need pre-packed in capsules and ready to

take. I have yet to be disappointed in anything I have gotten from them

though.
