Guest guest
, hello....good to hear from you. I am one of the other groupies who were trying to get a meeting in Tucson, some moons ago, and I believe we had to cancel because of a trip you had to the VA hospital....but don't hold me to it, as my memory is severely in hiding. Have moved up to Apache Junction now from Phoenix....but Priscilla and I are trying to get together with Denis (a new member) down in Tucson on one of my family treks down there and perhaps you could join in. Sorry to hear you haven't had a miraculous healing, but glad you're back on list;o) Susie
Guest guest
Hey Mikey Welcome back. Wondered where you got to. I see you are still living in Aridzona. Know what you mean about mowing the lawn. This year our next door neighbour came over and insisted on doing out grass and yard. He kinda fell down on it a couple of times but I did not mind as I really wanted to do it myself. Only problem is that it is a two day job and the rain was wicked this year. Not bad for a part of the country that was in drought for a few years. The Church grounds got a bit overwhelming this year and one friend went in with his huge weed whacker and did it a couple of times. Maanaged another 7000 kilometre drive again this summer. Took a trip to Oshawa, Ontario to visit my brother and one of my best friends from teenage and young adult days. Figured we had to make the trip this year as I may not be up to it in the future. A few of our neighbours were scratching their heads wondering how I could do all that driving. They forgot that Hazel can also drive. We also took our sweet time coming home no more than 5 hours a day driving including stops for rests and lunch. Good to hear from you. +Dave
Guest guest
Welcome back . Just know that ANY juice in a bottle has been cooked as in boiled. It is a dead food. I would highly recommend you get yourself a cheap juicer (or a good one, if you can afford it) and make your own juice to break a fast. You will be undoing most of your hard work with the fast by ingesting an acid causing juice into your nice clean, alkaline body. Guest guest
though it is better then junk food... if this is the step you need to make to get towards better nutrition then do so. There is both Naked Juice and Bolthonhousefarms that make good juices, that you can buy that are better then V8.SV <shavig@...> wrote: Welcome back . Guest guest
Hi , I saw your posting and wanted to make a suggestion for your nutrition needs. (I don't post often, mostly just read others postings for good info!) I started drinking green smoothies and found them to be great nutrition, good tasting, and great for getting things "moving"!!! You don't need any special equipment, just a regular kitchen blender. You can create whatever recipe you like to your own taste, but the point is to get some greens and fiber into you! Here is a sample recipe that I am about to go make after posting this: 1 handful fresh parsley 2 cups water blend for a couple minutes, then add 1 pear and 1 apple, skin and all! blend for another minute and drink up! Yum. This drink is so good for you. Lots of vitamins and minerals and fiber. You need to get your bowels moving and this will do the trick. Again, you can make up any recipe you want, just start with some greens, romaine, kale, parsley, etc. And add some fruit to make it sweet and yummy. Best of luck to you, . Keep us posted on your progress. Peace on earth. Cheryl Hello, I'm back Hello, I'm and I am back. I've been a member for some time but I had gone no-mail. Guest guest
-Hi I don,t post to often but had to respond to your post about\juicing. It keeps the bowels moving if you juice at least two times a week. plus the health benefits are amazing! I have my recipe that works great in my juicer and cleanup is outside with a high pressure hose to the parts:-) takes about 3 minutes to cleanup that way. 3 carrots skinned with a peeler to be on the safe side with bacteria 3 celery stalks with bottoms cut 2 delicious apples or golden delicious. makes a whole 8oz glass sometimes 10 oz I like it with ice-cubes in it hmmmmm! and others on this list said to eat the ground pulp from juicing, hey thats too much for my stomach so I spoon some to eat before cleaning, perhaps a halfcup of the raw bulk and the next day voila! your cleansing is easy and natural. Oh and no calories! just alot of vitamins in their *potent* state Rita -- In health , anonymous <ok_fine@...> wrote: > > Hello, I'm and I am back. Guest guest
Hi .. Yes I remember you. How's your diet? Eating mostly raw? lightly steamed? This will help your health improve. I see you have gotten some good advice from the gang.. Remember whatever you use to juice you must stay with for the course of the juicefast... If you want simple (and have a juicer) apples or apples and carrots are good. Are you doing a 3 day fast or one day?.. You need to drink the same thing at least for the entire day.. Suzianonymous <ok_fine@...> wrote: Hello, I'm and I am back. I've been a member for some time but I had gone no-mail. A few of you may remember me, maybe not.I'm ready to do my second cleansing fast. I can't remember when I did the first or any of the details so it must be time again right? How things can change in such a short while. Last time I was active here I was suffering from the catch22 back pain, misc pain and weight gain, which of course cause more pain, less activity, more gain more pain etc etc.I stated then my health was awful but today I have one foot in the grave. Doctor says part of my heart is enlarged, put me on high blood pressure pills and a diuretic for my feet and legs beginning to swell. He says I may have sleep appnia wants me in for some testing (after I get insured he says) wants me in for weight loss surgery (after I'm insured) wants me on oxygen all the time now (only I can't have the equipment until I am insured) And some pain meds, naproxin, which I've run out of. So here I am. I walk from my bed to the bathroom I gasp for breath and my heart is pounding.Anyway, now that your up to speed, my question is this:The juice fast, I picked up a bunch of those V8 fusion fruit and veggie juices because they look excellent. I read up the fast instructions and it says fruit only and veggie juice afterwards. What do you all think? Would the mixed juice have the same results? Also, I had asked (I didn't do the shopping) for only the blueberry/pomegranet juice and I go\t a selection of everything except what I asked for. Will the variety hurt? Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Play Monopoly Here and Now (it's updated for today's economy) at Games.
Guest guest
, Welcome back!! I am sorry to hear about your issues, but it sounds like you know what needs to be done and are willing to do it. This is a MAJOR step! Good job!! **pat on the back** If we are thinking of the same juice fast/cleanse, I do it monthly. I would avoid store bought juices and stick with home prepared juice, if you have the option. No GatorAide or V8. Too many additives. Drink the prune juice first thing in the morning, and the juice throughout the day, with LOTS of water. Start eating the fruit at the end of the third day. Trust me, you will feel like you want to curl up and just wimper and cry, but once you get over that, and you recover from the cleanse, you will feel better than you ever have in your life. Hang in there, my friend. Anything you need, any info or advice, let us know. Peace, love, laughter --- In health , anonymous <ok_fine@...> wrote: > > Hello, I'm and I am back.
