Guest guest
Guarana is or is like caffeine. mcpherson.bg@... wrote:Has anyone used this herbal stimulant? I am leaving on a trip in 10 days, crossing 8 time zones (California to the UK). Someone online told me that guarana was a good supplement to take the first day or two in the new place, if one is dragging. If you've used it, what was the dosage, etc.? Guest guest
I love the drink Guarana but haven't noticed that it gives me anymore energy. Perhaps the raw fruit (it is a fruit, right?) would.
Guest guest
I first found this in a "natural energy drink". I read the ingredients and it is simply another source of caffeine to me. Guarana prevents drowsiness and may reduce the risk of heart attacks. However, a cup of guarana contains three times more caffeine than a cup of coffee. People in South America either chew a spoonful of the seeds or crush the seeds with a mortar and pestle and add a bit of water to mix up a paste. The dried paste is then used to make a hot beverage like coffee. Guarana may have the ability to keep your red blood cells moving when they have a tendency to clump together and trigger a heart attack according to a laboratory study conducted at the University of Sao o in Brazil. However, further studies are needed. Guarana may hold potential as a heart protector but, it's still too soon to recommend it. Suzi What is a weed?
