Guest guest
Did you eliminate meat and dairy from your diet during this cleanse? Can't remember what your style of eating is/was. When I spend big $$ for a cleanse I want the biggest bang for my buck, so I usually try to fast or do a green smoothie only regimen for the length of time of the cleanse. Guest guest
Probiotics are the good bacteria that live in everyone’s large intestine. They help break down tough-to-digest items and also help produce some B vitamins. Having a healthy balance of them in there will keep harmful organisms from taking hold. The applesauce effect you mention is soluble fiber, just the like name implies, it absorbs water. As for the headache, it could be a sinus problem, but it could also be eye strain or an allergy. For sinus pain and congestion I like really warm washcloths or hot shower water on it. For eye strain and allergic irritations, cool washcloths and or cucumber slices on the eyes. If it does turn out to be the latter start adding eyebright and nettle to your daily regimen. And, although I got past the worst of it, I was uncomfortable throughout. Meanwhile, I purchased the " Ultimate Colon Cleanse " online, and so I started it yesterday. The pack includes a month's worse of parasite formula, a month's worth of laxative tea, a month's worth of probiotics, and, a jarful of powder which includes all the same ingredients as 's formula #1, plus several additional herbs. It has been pretty amazing. For one thing, I haven't had any intestinal cramps. And, for at least today, I have passed a lot more stuff than I was on the 's formula. BTW, the probiotics say to take them 30 minutes before eating dinner. I skipped them last night because I forgot them until I was ready to eat, and I didn't have the time to wait 30 minutes. But I'm wondering what the purpose of the probiotics is. Just to help digestion? Do you suppose that it is because no dietary changes are suggested to go along with this cleanse. Maybe I don't need them? But today I have developed a headache that feels like a sinus headache behind my right eye. I can't decide what to do about it. I'm not sure if it is part of the healing, or if it is a forerunner to something like a cold, which I realize is another way of healing, but something I don't want to deal with right now. Any thoughts? Anyway, the package says that most people don't mind the " intestinal cleanse " stuff shaken in water, but the first day, I didn't drink it instantly, and it turned into applesauce, without the apples. :-) It was pretty disgusting! So today, I both shook it in apple juice, and glugged it in a hurry. <G> TerriLynne
