Dear Sir or Madam,

The United Nations International Drug Control Programme-Regional Office

for South Asia (UNDCP-ROSA) and the Ministry of Social Justice &

Empowerment (MSJE), Govt. of India are implementing a collaborative

project AD/IND/99/E40 titled “Community Wide Drug Demand Reduction in

India”. The project aims at assisting the Government to establish

infrastructure to initiate support and sustain drug demand reduction

activities on a nationwide scale.

Currently we are in the process of developing a database of

experts/resource persons in the field of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS

Prevention. The database will include the details about International,

National and Regional experts/resource persons having expertise in the

field of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention. The database once

developed will be used by the MSJE, UNDCP-ROSA, National Centre for

Drug Abuse Prevention and Regional Resource Training Centres. The

database will also be available for other organisations such as

NGOs/CBOs working in the field.

Enclosed (as attachement) is a format for collecting data from experts

and resource persons interested in becoming part of this resource

group. Please complete the format and send it by return mail to

pravesh.kumar@... or by post addressed to Mr. Aditya Kumar Joshi,

Social Defence, West Block-1, Wing- 7, Ground Fl., R.K. Puram, New
