Last night a flipping out Carol called me around midnight incredulous that this had happened again!! It's the crown that refuses to stay put. This crown has been an albatross around your mouth, Carol!!! It's out more than in. I probably would have super glued it in by now! Me...Today I have to have partial tightened up but otherwise it's working out fine. Then again, there is this newly developed toothache I now have off and on. Back tooth. Guest guest Posted June 12, 2007 Report Share Posted June 12, 2007 Speaking of teeth...... I am still recovering from oral surgery done friday. I broke a tooth late last week, so went to the dentist. I am TERRIFIED of dentists!! Turns out the break was deep enough to impact the bone, so the tooth had to be extracted. They did a scan (similar to an exray, but 3-d) and discovered that my one remaining wisdom tooth, right next to the broken tooth, had roots dangerousely (sp?) close to the major nerve that runs along the jaw line. So both teeth had to go. And to add a little spice to it, they would have to cut out bone to get both teeth out, thereby necessitating a bone graft. So we did it Friday morning. I had a panic attack and was put on laughing gas just to be able to sit there and be explained the procedures. But all went well. They gave me Vicodan for the pain, which made me twitchy, so I quit taking it. Just using ibuprophen and the herbal nerve sedative formula in large doses. I go back monday to see if the graft took. One real bummer about this is that it is interfering with the filming of an independent film I am starring in. It's kinda hard to say my lines when my mouth is swolen. But such is life. So sorry about your dental problems, but as Gloria and I would say, welcome to the club. I'm never excited to have people join us as that usually means big bucks. Take care and feel well. You would think with my dental experiences Super Glue would be on hand. I'm still believing in God to regrow my choppers! The late night call came as I know you may be sleeping, don't hear the phone and with a follow up email, I knew you would enjoy the voice as usual. I'm not one to call at the strike of another day, but always love hearing your voice at any hour. The bone graft is taking, and the stitches should be disolved in a week or so. I quit taking the narcotic pain killers they gave me, and am suplimenting (sp?) the antibiotic with Tonic, rinsing with it as well several times a day. Gives me awful breath, but sure helps.
