Netti pot,, and snuff the dried, ground up pulp from complete tonic. Works great for sinuses. and take Eucalyptus, tea tree and peppermint oils when you steam. Moist heat, salt water gargles, nettle tea

or capsules, eyebright, and horseradish are all good things to do for

sinusitis.

Thanks Janet - I didn't know about the eyebright. I have some at

home!! But never knew!

also, I don't have a neti pot, but have heard that people use the

little baby bulb syringes..I must admit I'm a bit scared! LOL I

think I'll go find a large jar and mix up some super tonic tonight...

No problemo sweets. Yes, the bulb

syringes are icky to use, but useful when you need to clean out them sinuses.

A nurse practitioner I work with has me add a little salt and a tiny bit of

baking soda to warm water and clean out with that eeewwww LOL.

Do you just tip your head to the side over a basin, and squirt it in

the upper nostril? (The one farthest from the basin?) I've never done

it and am scared! LOL

You know, it is interesting that as I have embarked upon this journey of

raw food only, how my head is trying to clean itself out. I keep passing

mucus, even though I don't have any symptoms of a cold or congestion. I

am speculating that it may be parasite related.

Just a thought.

My sister recommended salt and warm water. I thought it would sting, but it

does not. I make a shallow glass of it and snort it up through one nostril

at a time. Then blow away all the yuck. I have not had to do this in years,

but I remember it definitely worked well. The saline solution will help kill

and " bugs " causing the sinus infection.

I " ve had sinus problems for a long time. A few weeks ago I bought a neti pot

which is like

a small teapot and is made specially for running fluid through the sinuses. It

cost me

about $13.50. My doctor recommended it. You use about 1/2 cup of water to

which 1/8

teaspoon of salt and baking soda have been added. I warm the water a bit and

that helps.

The first time I used it, a few hours later there was a bit of bleeding and the

next morning I

spit out a lot of nasty stuff. My doc said it would be good to use it once a

day and I have

been for about a week or so and more irregularly for the past three weeks. My

sinuses are

in good shape and I am breathing easily for the first time in a long time.

A neti pot is much nicer to use than a squirt bottle. The weirdness of running

water down

my nose is wearing off. I want to give my sinuses a chance to heal and I'm

going to

continue using the neti pot until I no longer see any blood. There is very

little now.

I remember when I was in prison, it was in an area called " High

Desert " . During the summers, it got very hot, dry and dusty. My

sinuses were miserable!

I would put a dash of salt in my hand and fill my hand with warm

water, and snort it up, then blow it out. Worked like a charm.

Of course, the other men thought I was a bit odd. I wonder why???
