next week for 2 root canals if I can't get in

tomorrow with this pain.

Carol...

I'm sure a dentist will see you if you have an abscess. I had one a couple weeks ago and they will see you that day. The only thing that helped me at all (and the dentist was surprised) was rinsing with peroxide and baking soda. Make a solution and swish it in mouth for about 2 minutes (or more). It would take away the pain for about 20-30 min. At least it was a little relief. I had to keep doing that all day.

My teeth...???? Oh...it looks like I have to have 3 pulled and get a partial denture. I wanted to avoid this but I've been dealing with constant teeth problems since I was a kid. It's been one step forward, 2 steps back. So I had to make the decision. From what other people have told me life gets better after it's done and it isn't as terrible as I have conjured up in my mind.

That's what I do daily. I use the herbal tooth powder, not tooth paste.

And rinse with the h202 and water.

Peace, love, laughter

Thanks all for your wisdom in rinses. I continued last night using

the clove bud and it did work. Today woke up with no pain; called

dentist, no cancellations, but on wait list if they get cancellation

today or Monday. Tues. appointment.

Gloria and I have matching mouths. She's the first to take the lead

in our partials so waiting on her report. My dentist did suggest

bridge possibility, but not sure where that is going. With Gloria

behind scenese not telling me exciting bridge stories I'm opting for

partial denture if that has to be the case. I do have insurance at

this moment so my situation and greater with fabulous dental

insurance. Grateful to have it on this Cobra plan that will have

several more months so opting to take care of all my dental needs in

accelerated mode.

, need a free massage? Viagen Medical, east of WF on Hampden.

Email me...no gimmick either...40 minutes daily, not Sun.

Gloria,

It's not just one abcess going on....think on the bottom next to

each other total of 2 and then maybe on top where that tooth fell

out could be another. It's been here for a long time, but didn't act

up till now. Right now I am in severe pain, just rinsed with

hydrogen per. and water....rubbed gums with clove bud...the pain is

very strong...may have to call dentist on call to get something...I

feel like jumping through the ceiling...sure hope I can get some

sleep tonight.....last night I slept well, but not such a sharp pain

as now......I am calling dentist office Mon. again and tell them I

can't wait another day...right now I have to wait for the weekend to

end for the specialist.......yikes.....If I feel the pain when I get

up tomorrow I am getting something to survive the next few days.

Going to keep rubbing away with clove bud....it has to work, but

right not it is not....feels like the swelling is getting

greater....when I touch my chin I feel terrific tenderness...wonder

if the primary dentists office will take care of the root canal

tomorrow....it is awful...but I am supposed to go per their

recommendation to the specialist as planned for Tues....I'm where

you are Gloria...I am getting super tired of pain and fighting teeth

problems...root canals...crowns...extractions....etc............

Off I go now...............yikes two root canals needed next to each

other..........unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yes, a healthy

eater too......sounds like a joke here, but real....so healthy or

not healthy eater teeth still don't care.......even with proper

care.....ouch............

You can't always tell which tooth it is in this abscess situation. I've had 2 abscesses and in both cases it was a tooth different than the one I thought was causing the problem. A dentist will usually see you immediately in a case like this. I just had the same thing a few weeks ago and it's terrible.

Hoping Monday Gloria I can get in, but thankfully today pretty

peaceful day in my mouth.

Just booked TX trip, outside Dallas, so maybe no time to think pain

even though I would feel it.

Good for you, Carol! I know when I had that bad abscess last month it was horrendous pain. But then one day at work I was so busy and the tooth didn't hurt again until I was done work. Just had no time for the pain. Really says something about mind over matter.
