Guest guest
Actually - just to correct something. Raspberry leaf tea is wonderful for pregnant women but not too early in the pregnancy. Everyone I know who has taken it has had very short labours (2 hours or so) because it tones the uterus up so that when you have a contraction, it is doing many times the job as it would have been otherwise. Having too much before 3 months into the pregnancy can mean the uterus tones up too early and could contribute to a miscarriage. Don't get the wrong idea - it is miracle product - I drink it all the time. Just keep it low amounts or not at all until 3 months into the pregnancy. Smiles, Re: Re: Medical Opinions+Family Raspberry leaf in caps or as tea gives some iron is exceptionally good for pregnancy (before, during and after). HFS supplements with chelated iron, Floradix, organic dessicated liver tabs, Heme-iron,etc. Really, most any Good HFS iron supplement. Never do iron from drug store (ferrous suphate). Guest guest
JK I don't want to dispute your info but I check my herb books and Raspberry leaf is highly recommended for full term of pregnancy. Ease morning sickness, prevent miscarriage and ease labor. Most times it is a raspberry combination with black and blue cohosh that are used ONLY at the end to increase labor contractions and speed delivery. Guest guest
Everyone get different info then, don't they? That is what we were taught at Naturopathy course. And also what a naturopath friend who is very successful (has three clinics around Melbourne) told me when I was pregnant. Drinking it most of the way through the pregnancy helps the labour be a lot more productive. I use it for well being all the time. Love it. : ) Re: Re: Medical Opinions+Family > > > Raspberry leaf in caps or as tea gives some iron is > exceptionally good for pregnancy (before, during and > after). > HFS supplements with chelated iron, Floradix, > organic > dessicated liver tabs, Heme-iron,etc. Really, most > any Good HFS iron supplement. Guest guest
Raspberry Leaf Raspberry leaf tones and nourishes the uterine muscles. It is a safe, nutritive uterine tonic, rich in vitamins and minerals. It is especially high in chelated iron that the body can readily assimilate. It increases the flow of milk helps restore the system after childbirth, and makes an excellent tea for all women to drink. It relaxes, tones and strengthens the uterine and pelvic muscles. It is particularly high in calcium, iron, phosphorous, and vitamin B, C, and E. It is generally recommended that this herb be taken by pregnant women for the entire 9 months of pregnancy. Many people believe it will speed up labor as well as ease labor pains. This herb is now being recognized as a good herb for the non-pregnant women and for men as well! Recent studies have shown it to be helpful in lowering blood sugar levels and it is valuable as a remedy for diarrhea reducing fevers and in stopping excessive bleeding. It can be used in many childhood illnesses and will also help to build strong healthy bones and teeth. It is considered excellent to use with children, even infants and will help them if they have intestinal problems, even colic.Cancer sores that develop on the mucus membranes will disappear if you drink one cup of red raspberry tea every hour until you get results. During this time you should not eat any food nor drink anything else. To make the tea throw a handful of leaves into a quart of boiling water. Cover and steep for 15-20 minutes. Strain and drink as much as you want-at least 2 cups a day. Rubus idaeus is the cultivated variety of Red raspberry. This is the herb that you will find in most health food stores and available from most distributors. Rubus strigosus is the wild variety. It is considered more potent and carries with it the indescribable, yet discernable, strength and vitality of things that belong to the wilderness. We have wild raspberries growing here in our northern Minnesota wilderness. This may be the only place where you can actually buy the wild variety. They are not in the catalog right now because we will not have them until summer. But summer isn't that far away! Suzi What is a weed?
