Guest guest
Too bad Larry King cancelled his interview with him tomorrow night. He's interview Paris Hilton instead!! Guest guest
You know this is theivery. Downloading a movie is outright theft. I was hoping it was a trailer, but when I click on the download it said it would take 3 hours, I knew it was the entire movie. I cancelled right out of it. Someone tell me if I'm wrong and it's just a trailer I'll go back and watch, but as it stands now I'm going to spend money to go see it in the theater. Guest guest
Well Shari, I believed it was the trailer, I watched the streaming video to the end. If you believe it's a trailer like it states, perhaps you could watch it also, and then perhaps send a $5 donation, which is far more than what he'd get from a theater ticket. Giving a donation for watching a video is not theft, is it? Especially if it is indeed a trailer? I sort of think he leaked the video himself since the government sought to silence it. ~ SV wrote: > You know this is theivery. Downloading a movie is outright theft. Guest guest
It is also interesting to notice that the company distributing 's latest movie, Lions Gate Films, seems to share his views on piracy as well, That's very liberal of them. I love Lions Gate and watch a lot of their films. I'll go to see Sicko in the theater though. Just because I don't like sitting at a computer that doesn't work half the time! Kudos to for Sicko and every other film he's made! (I'm obviously a fan!) Gloria ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Well, how long was the trailer? Normally trailers are less than a minute, minute tops. When my download button was wavering between 2 and 3 hours for download (I'm on DSL) I thought something was amiss. And I guess the question of sending him $ for watching it is all in how clear your conscious feels. And yes, it is possible that he leaked the movie but do we really know this? Same thing happened with " Ghost Rider " and I'm wondering what government agency was trying to block that movie. Shari

Guest guest
From Afterdawn: director at the moment, , has told to press that he doesn't have any problem whatsoever with people sharing his latest movie, Fahrenheit 9/11 illegally over the P2P networks. " I don't agree with the copyright laws and I don't have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people as long as they're not trying to make a profit off my labour. I would oppose that, " said. " I do well enough already and I made this film because I want the world to change. The more people who see it the better, so I'm happy this is happening. " " Is it wrong for someone who's bought a film on DVD to let a friend watch it for free? Of course it's not. It never has been and never will be. I think information, art and ideas should be shared. " It is also interesting to notice that the company distributing 's latest movie, Lions Gate Films, seems to share his views on piracy as well, as the company has stated it doesn't oppose the practice of people sharing the movie over the P2P networks for free. Obviously company hasn't released any public press statements about its views as it has to maintain good relations with the MPAA and the other movie industry establisments. -- Give a man a fire and keep him warm for a day. Guest guest
Pfft, you didn't rile me up. I just think people need to check in on their honesty every so often. So much these days is on the internet that folks think it's okay because it's " just out there " . And I realize people have been sneaking into movies since they came on the scene, but that still doesn't make it right. And it was not directed at you. I put it out there for anyone who may be viewing movies, posting recipes, and especially posting entire books on this wonderful new thing called the internet (or as GW says " internets " ). Guest guest
Shari, I'm pretty sure it was the whole movie - it was about 1 1/2 hrs long. I didn't have to download anything - all I did was click on play, and it played. I agree that our health care system is completely fouled up. But, wow, is he ever into big government!! He wants the government to take care of everything. I tend to lean the other way, I think people can take care of themselves. Carol > > You know this is theivery. Guest guest
There are only two industrialized nations that do not offer national health care. The U.S. and South Africa, last I heard.HexOn 6/27/07, Carol <carol@...> wrote: Shari, I'm pretty sure it was the whole movie - it was about 1 1/2 hrs long. Guest guest
Carol,I have to disagree here with your answer to national health care. Its maddening when every year BCBS goes up another 60 or so dollars a pay for every two months. How are seniors going to manage to keep themselves covered and pay all of the other household expenses not to mention insurance for a car and house? I have hardly anything left to spend with only $150 after all of utilities are paid that is to last me for two months. National health care takes care of EVERYONE not just the welfare freeloaders and disabled who I question are really handicapped.. I wouldn, want to see a disabled person picking out of a garbage can but lets open our eyes here to those who will exploit the laws that were there originally for the old and disabled. To me thats why the health insurance is soaring because of walk ins who don,t have insurance. I think everyone should contribute something according to their income. Guest guest
I'm fortunate enough to have cable internet, so I was able to watch online ok. Being currently disabled and the fact my car has been held captive by the autobody garage for 5months (I'm so patient) I was glad I could see it online. I'm thinking to send a donation would net him more money than the theater ticket commission would. I just wrote him an email thanking him for the movie and suggested maybe the next progression after we all have free access to quality health care, is free access to alternative health care. I gave him a few links from Dr as a starting point. I also thanked him because his movies are like somebody finally hears us and is giving us a voice in a manner other people hear. Guest guest
Ah, stay healthy? That's how you can afford to live in the USA without health insurance. Have only had health insurance sporadically over the last 23 years and it's probably only cost us $10,000 out of pocket for two broken arms, a broken thumb, lacerated eyeball and a few stitches. And let's see 23 years x 12 months x $400 (it's been less, it's been more) for insurance per month comes to = $110,400. MUCH less than what I have paid out for injuries. Now if I could only save that $400 a month......................... Very few people I know have health insurance. Most of us choose to buy organic food, supplements, memberships to gyms and anything else that will keep us health. Besides if it came down to it I doubt I would do what the medicos would want anyway. Read "Reclaming Our Health" by Robbins. In there he talks all about cancer. He even interviews some of the top oncologists at Sloan Kettering and the Mayo Clinic and when asked what they would do if they had cancer? Their answer was: "Anything but this." And these are the people administering the poison!! You can live without health insurance. Believe in yourself and the power of your body to know what's best if you give it what's best. Guest guest
Very few people I know have health insurance In 2001 the state of PA started a program to provide affordable health insurance to residents who don't have health insurance. There is a ceiling on income, but it is NOT welfare. Most people who have it have jobs that don't provide health care or health insurance they can afford. It's a program called Adult Basic health insurance. It became known nationally as a model for other states, hoping they would follow suit but I don't think many of them did. When they announced they were starting it they quickly got a long waiting list because of the enormous response and unfortunately I believe people now have to wait a couple years to get in. I managed to get in when it started so I now have health insurance if I ever need it for an accident etc. I pay $33.50 a month. I used it once when I had an accident a few years ago. The hospital and ambulance bills came to almost $2000 and I was glad I had it because they paid everything. Other states need to start something like this. Guest guest
y lucky! When DH had a heart attack just the ambulance bill alone was $1500. I could not believe it! I feel very fortunate to have gotten in under the wire with that insurance program. Thankfully I hear about it a month or so after it started and it still took me 6 months to get into it...over 75,000 people applied. If I hadn't had the insurance I probably wouldn't even have gone to the hospital or had any treatment. They paid for the hospital, ambulance and follow up by a doctor a few weeks later. It cost around $2000 and they paid all of it. It is worth $33.50 a month! Other states need to start something like this.
