Guest guest Posted March 1, 2007 Report Share Posted March 1, 2007 Cabbage Chickpea Soup Recipe By Dr. Ben Kim on May 31, 2005 Ingredients: 2 cups chopped cabbage1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained1 large Yukon gold potato1 onion, chopped2 garlic cloves, pressed1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped4 cups of filtered or spring water or Vegetable BrothSea salt and black pepper, to taste Directions: Use 4 cups of water or vegetable broth to boil all ingredients except cilantro, salt, and pepper. Boil until vegetables are tender. Transfer 3 cups of soup into a blender and blend until creamy.Add blended mixture back to pot, adding cilantro, salt and pepper to taste.Stir for a minute and serve. This soup is great by itself or with a bowl of rice and a fresh vegetable salad. Suzi What is a weed?
