Guest guest
Do they continue to ripen after picking? I've bought hard mangoes and they always ripen as they sit on my counter. Guest guest
I think the mangoes would taste better and probably have more nutritional value if they were left to ripen on the tree. Shari
Guest guest
Thanks, Shari. I know some fruits are meant to be picked unripe and let to ripen off the tree/vine. (Avocadoes??) Wasn’t sure about mangoes. When we moved in last summer, there was one lone mango left on the kitchen counter from the tree and it was ripe when we moved in. Scrumptious, too!<G> Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of SV I think the mangoes would taste better and probably have more nutritional value if they were left to ripen on the tree. Guest guest
Lucky you! A ripe mango on the counter of a new house would be a grand sign of good things to come, for me. Shari

Guest guest
I know when to eat it...just don't know when to pick it! And right now am losing the ones on the trees to the squirrels, who don't seem to care whether they're ripe or not!<G> Sharyn -----Original Message----- From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of tempo33x Eat the Mango when there is some give with finger pressure. -- In health , MorningGlory113@... wrote: > > > > I've bought hard mangoes and they always ripen as they sit on my counter.
