Guest guest
It was a day of spaghetti and meat sauce, cooked by Oakville firefighters, to help a man who went blind after a dental infection spread to his eyes, killing the nerves. Nice story, but freaky to read for people like Carol and me. We're poster children for dental problems. Maybe we should save up for the dogs and canes now.;-). I don't think she's been on HAWK digest lately. I'll have to forward her this one. Gloria ....who finally got a lower partial and having no problems at all with it. Carol's crown just popped off her eye tooth today (again!) but she'll have to get everyone up to speed on that story. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Gloria is so right. Yesa, I Carol have just lost my crown--just popped off her eye tooth today (again!) but here I am ready to get everyone up to speed on that story. Gloria and I are the official, by our own designation, poster children for the AARP generation. We are still vibrant, excited, talkative and resistant to quit at anything. I thought you would love to hear my latest tooth update. Well since my last dental updates, I have had more root canals from the specialist. I am up to 3 at this point and have another one I keep forgetting to call to schedule. Well, my last dentist who was horrible experience did lousy dental work, I paid for, and one tooth he " claimed " had a permanent crown on and I said it was a temporary still. I had him examine my mouth, examine his recordsd and he made me look like the liar. After the two hour wait and 10 minutes of his services, a second time he did this, I changed dentists per the recommendation of a dental professional who was on my side at this point and a long time before this telling me to change. Well, the new dentist seems great, has a great sense of humor and can see the nightmare in this mouth. Last visit last week he said we are the point review this #10 tooth-- that is the tooth smack in the front called an eye tooth and if you smile without the tooth, you appear whether you wish to be called or not a " witch in viewing. " Looking in the mirror is not a pretty sight to see. Actually I should take a picture and send it to Gloria who can appreciate this type of humor at my expense too. So Fri. I was working at the event center for a graduation and guess what falls out of my mouth? Yes, the temporary crown. I couldn't leave my post but was able to do a first--stick it right in the exact location it needed to go in. Well, last night the tooth came out and here I am today with a large gap. I called hte dentist on Fri. but holiday weekend so they didn't call back. Called today and they had tons of emergencies and was going to call back today. Well, they didn't and I did but they are now closed so tomorrow may be the return of a tooth or a gap. It is hard pushing the tooth back in. Maybe with a Gloria here I would get the help but my husband refuses to " play dentist " so he said just now I " look cute. " Amazing but real as he has a big gap on the side of his mouth but doesn't seem to care. Oh, the blessing is that the root canals are FREE so far with my pricey Aetna DMO insurance. Well, tune in for the rest of the story. Just never know what Gloria and I are up to in the career path or the dental route. I must say our attitudes are high on life and we are aiming to live to be 125 hopefully with a few teeth of our own to brag about. Garden: Doing fabulous once it gets planted, but my seeds, became seedlings and fabulous plants are ready for the ground tomorrow. Quite a sight to see and bragging at the shocking results. I did buy a few plants, but nothing to talk about. Peppers refused to take. The mouse refused to leave so I had no choice after trying many alternatives but poison. Haven't seen any returns in about 10 days and super happy. Felt bad having to do this but they were rebellious in leaving. So I saw 3 dead babies here. They even played and destroyed my seeds in the pots, my seeds in the package and anything they could grab their teeth on. They are history. Hope all well. Feel free to email me. Take care. Love you all, carolg --- In health , MorningGlory113@... wrote: > > > > It was a day of spaghetti and meat sauce, cooked by Oakville > > firefighters, to help a man who went blind after a dental infection > > spread to his eyes, killing the nerves. > > Nice story, but freaky to read for people like Carol and me. Guest guest
I'm glad to hear you're doing well with your new lower partial! Yes I am Kathy. The day I got them they told me I might experience gum irritation etc. but I experienced no discomfort at all. I had my teeth pulled and they put them in immediately...I REFUSED to leave the office with no teeth. I figured I'd be in pain that day (after the novocaine wore off) so I was already prepared and made a bunch of soup etc. Heck...I was chomping down hard pretzels and anything else I felt like eating that same day. Had NO pain at all. Working out fine. Gloria ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
