Dear all

After my marriage I tested positive for HIV during a routine medical health

checkup. I hid this fact from my wife as i havent gathered enough courage to

tell her that all her dreams are finished. i did use condoms during sex after

that but unfortunately my wife became pregnant . we consulted a doctor and

confirmed the pregnancy . i did prepare my wife for abortion saying that i was

not prepared for the child which she agreed after some time .

We went to a doctor and asked her for abortion . she wanted my wife to undergo

HIV, Hepatitis test before she could do the operation. we opted for the abortion

pill . The details of which are ist day mifegest 200 mg one pill

third day misoprostol cytolog tablets 200 mg 3 tablets .

the doctor didnt right the first pill on the prescription. ( she said this

cannot be written on prescription. moreover she also said that there is a chance

that some part of the foetus might remain inside only for which we might have to

do the surgical operation.

my worry is that in abortion is incomplete due to insufficent dosage (i checked

on internet it should have been 3 tablets of mifegest.)doctor will want us to

undergo HIV test before she performs the operation and in case my wife turns

positive which she will as i am positive doctor might refuse to do the

operation as i have been reading about discrimination in papers.

WHERE DO I GO FOR THE OPERATION TO COMPLETE THE ABORTION. ARE there Any doctors

and hospitals in mumbai which treat HIV positive pregnant women without

discrimination .

I would really appreciate a quick and positive reply as we have already taken

the pill and might risk infection.
