Other than the pill incident, it was pretty good. was an absolute

angel. And the surprising thing is we weren't real consistent with giving

him his pills. We forgot A LOT! He rebounded Sunday, though. His Sunday

school helper told me he was really wound up, not acting out, just wound up.

I said it's because wasn't expecting to see Mr. Ron (the helper) this

week. But Ron was able to just check on him occasionally because he's

normally in first grade and is in second.

The boys both swam a lot. We were within walking distance of the creek.

was a bit nervous because it was so rocky. He's used to a pool.

remembers camping before. The worst part (other than the pills

<grin>) was that is petrified of insects. He hates the noise the

locusts make at night. I see a lot of autistic-like responses from him (if

he weren't so social, I'd be wondering about him). But I think it might

have actually helped. We did end it early, because it was just too darn

hot. We were at Marble Creek, near Fredricktown, MO. We packed up

everything Friday afternoon and got home about 7pm. Spent Saturday around

the pool!

Hi Loriann,

Sounds like a nice family get away. Glad to hear all went well except for

Lee,

Get yourself a Tilley hat. Made in Canada, amd perfect for our

Lee,

Read the label! You dont want a wanna be hat, let alone a has

been hat. ROFL I washed mine a couple times, and it feels great.

These hats also have windcords and as you know, we get windy. That

was the main reason I got it. When it gets to blowing, I tighten it

up and hat stays on good.

Hello ,

(((( big hugs to you & Gimlet))))

This will be a quick little post as I do need to try to get some

rest tonight! Welcome back to , dear friend!

Thank you for the link to the tilley hats. I am going to look at

the website tonight. My husband and I are returning to St. in

the Caribbean to camp for a couple of weeks next month. The side of

the island we will be camping on tends to get some rain nearly

everyday. Is your tilley hat waterproof? Does the hat press on your

coil?

Be vewy vewy quiet I am hunting BunE Wabbits.

Hey good to see you too, BunE! Yep the hats are waterproof tho

will get soaked after a while. But, your head stays pretty much dry

even in downpours. After washing, you spray Scotchgard on the hat.

When I put my hat on, sometimes the coil goes loopy and I have to

stick it back up where it belongs. Other than that, I can wear the

hat all day with no fuss. If you want the Aussie look, you can snap

one side of the brim up.

Take a good look around the site and look at the accessories, you

may find something dashing. LOL

Be vewy vewy quiet I am still hunting BunE Wabbits.

If you lend someone 20 dollars and never see that person again, it was

probably worth it.
