**First Asia Pacific Women, Girls & HIV/ADIS Best Practices Conference**

AMAL Human Development Network is organizing this conference that will be

held in Islamabad, Pakistan on 4-6 October 2004. The major objectives

include: understanding the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls in the Asia

and Pacific region; determining the future impact of HIV/AIDS in the region;

and reviewing strategies to reverse current trends in transmission and
