This is from a newsletter I just got from . He obviously is suspicious that his film ended up on the internet before released in theaters and thinks he knows the culprit(s).:

It's no surprise to me that an original master of "Sicko" was stolen and widely distributed on the internet before the film's release. I'm one of the few people in the movie business who doesn't believe in prosecuting teenagers who want to share music or films (although I make my movies to be seen on a big screen and that's how I hope people see them!). I called up Mr. Bush's FBI last week. I wanted to know if they had asked themselves the first question any cop would ask about this particularly unique theft:

"Who has a vested interest in destroying the first weekend of 's new film by stealing his movie's master copy and placing it on the internet?"

Speaking of vested interest, I spent a good while on a rant earlier

today about what the " authority " says about things being safe in order

to maximize profits at teh cost of anybody who works in the industry or

consumes the product.

Case in point, asbestos. I was a trained and certified in asbestos

abatement. Though they quit using it in 1970, industry still claims

it's safe, Haliburton is involved in a huge law suit while the

administration runs innerfeirence for them. Asbestos has killed over

5.6million and the death rate isn't expected to peak for another

20years. I was thinking, 5.6 million is like twice the population of

Minnesota. All dead, and I aproximate triple that before it's all

finished with.

So, do I believe the huge medical/pharmacy/insurance corporations and

the FDA and other govenrnment orgs would lie about this stuff? If

there's a buck to be had, you betcha.

Am I cynical?

,

I was not aware that asbestos was not used after 1970. My husband worked in a factory making brake shoes up until 1995 and it was still used there. We are waiting for him to get sick. He knows it is going to kill him.

No one cared they all made a ton of $.

There is some limited use of asbestos but it's supposed to be very

limited and only in applications where it is essential. Brake shoes

are not supposed to have asbestos, I wonder what changed that? I know

it is optional at the parts store, I am asked if I'd like non asbestos

break shoes. It's possible the big trucks still use it because of the

heat generated in breaking. Traffic police had a high rate of

asbestosis.

Too scary. I'm sorry to hear that. Isn't there some way medicine can

tell if there is a chance or not? The waiting thing would make me

crazy. There is a notable law firm, Philadelphia law firm of Shein and

Brookman. They've done a huge ammount of asbestos lawsuits they do it

second nature. You can read about them at http://www.aliciapatterson.org/APF0702/Stranahan/Stranahan.html

and maybe ask them if there is anything you may do not to prepare just

in case your husband gets sick (god{dess} forbid) and see if

they or someone they might reccomend for you could handle it.

Yes it's pretty wild. Some of the photos include a horse track covered

in shredded asbestos, children playing on the track after the race, and

men having a contest loading bags of it to be applied to the track. It

was like sceans at the beach.

I was incorrect about my figures. The 5.6million is a government

estimate about the total when the deaths end, not a to-date figure like

I had understood. Still, I believe that's more than anything we've had

including all wars put togather. It's all the lies and lost lives for

the sake of greed which gets me. I get so angry thinking about this

sort of thing. I can't imagine what folks as yourself and your husband

go through.

There are some of us who used to play this game of "Deity for a day".

What would you do if you were deity for a day? Me? I don't think

you'd want me for deity for a day. I'd be tempted to be looking for

the delete button. Reboot, format, ctrl/alt/del, something.
