Guest guest
Felice, My thought is, if you feel even a bit better go for it. When we left our home we HAD to go into an apartment. There wasn't time to worry about carpet, types of paint and so forth. Immediately the kids started feeling better. There was and is no such rental type housing here w/hard wood/ceramic. If there was I couldn't have afforded it any how. We had to stay there for 5 months, each month they got better. Was it the perfect conditions-Certainly not. But, it is what I could afford-much better than our home-and gave us a place to sleep-the kids felt better. At that time, that was my goal. Nothing is perfect until you can own your own home, and have enough money to make it safe. So, you have to use your judgement. Yes, there are risks in staying in apartments/condos. But, you have to out weigh your current conditions w/the new ones. [] bedding Hi, I'll be needing a new bed soon, i hope for a new apt. It was suggested to me to buy a cheap Walmart cot and put a mattress pad type thing on top. This should do for a while. Or you could get a better cot through LL bean type company. Hope it works for me cause that's my plan as of now. felice With my mcs it's been suggested I do not take an apt with any carpet at all. What if i seem to feel ok in it though??? I must get out of this moldy house ASAP!!! Most places i've seen have carpet. thx,
Guest guest
I'm about to purchase a bed. It is a latex bed with a pillow top. The salesman said that dust mites cannot grow in the latex but they can in the pillow top. He's giving me a mattress cover with some kind of teflon coating for that. I have allergies and who knows if dust mites might be part of that. Is this bed a good idea or do I need to buy one that is completely latex? Thanks for your advice, Sheryl
Guest guest
What happened to plain old beds?? lol Don't know anything about a latex bed or teflon coating cover. Make sure you aren't allergic to latex. Suziskmackie <skmackie@...> wrote: I'm about to purchase a bed. It is a latex bed with a pillow top. We discussed that kind of bedding not long ago, so please do a Message Search using latex mattress, or just latex or mattress to find the relevant messages.
