Guest guest
Speaking of eating fresh fruit..... With the heat the way it has been here in Denver, and the type of work I do (I work in and supervise a shipping warehouse that ships books), I have been really pushing pineapple. I buy a couple of organic pineapples every couple of days and cut them up for the workers. They have come to expect it, asking where it is if I haven't brought any in for a while. I am also REALLY pushing water! I convinced management to supply bottled water, and at every morning warehouse meeting (we call it a " huddle " ), I stress the importance of hydration. I tell them that I may not have any real authority to enforce it, but I can be VERY annoying! All that to ask this...... What other fresh fruits and such would be good for workers in a very hot environment, hot sun, average ventilation, and constant very hard labor? I want my workers to stay safe and healthy. Keep their electrolytes up, their blood sugar up, etc. So many of them are relying on sodas, coffee, " energy " drinks. Peace, love, laughter
