Guest guest
Trying 2 days to get Gloria on the phone: either busy or not close to bed. I tried this AM too and will try later. Thinking she can't soak her feet, can't cook, so maybe some of my homemade dried fruits....who knows....gotta get that stuff off...very slow in mailing things normally except if I sell something--rare howeveer. Guest guest
Lynn, Wow, everything you thought about sounds nice. The lotion with a rose scent may be nice. I'm not sure what she has but I can ask her if she has foot goodies for soaks, etc. Just spoke with her so it would be tomorrow or next day I will call again. Shea butter is very nice. She loves Osteen books and listens to him occasionally. She doesn't have much patience for reading at the moment as someone brought up a Bible and also Joyce Meyer books. carolg > > Is there anything besides a foot soak you think Gloria might enjoy when she > gets home? Guest guest
Two days ago she could barely read anything. She said she read the same line of the Bible over and over again and that's where she ended. She has books to read. Over time she will improve and be ready for more things. She can always put the books away. Her bills are being taken care of through the Fund that has been established and someone neutral, she knows and not her ex, is now in charge of that. She's removed from this whole Fund thing. She trusts this lady totally and can account to questions/answers how the money is used. It's a great thing we both agreed. hugs, carolg > > I think she'd probably love any of those things. Guest guest
I just tried her, got through too at rehab. hugs, carolg > > I don't know her schedule, Lynn. Guest guest
I believe you can be safe with alternative books, positive thinking books for sure, Louise Hays perhaps talk. She has no choice but go the medical route, but maybe with the Fund established she will be able to go some natural routes once after the radiation/chemo or whatever. I'm not certain but spectulating only. She loves stories of people who were flat broke and doors flung opened for them. Maybe Chicken Soup books....where hope is given. hugs, carolg > > Another question on the books, what does she like? Mystery? Sci- fi? Romance? Biographies? Fiction? Non-fiction? Alternative healing? Cancer healing alternatives? She might not want to read some of these if she can't afford the procedures. I know it would make me very sad to have been forced into chemo and then read about other ways of healing. > > Shari >
Guest guest
Lynn, No special time to catch Gloria at Rehab. Her number is 610-796- 6110. May let phone ring a little bit however. She's off to sleep by 8:30 PM EST however. She would love calls for sure and even if you never spoke to her before, you're a HAWK. hugs, carolg > > HI Hun > > I just tried calling her and got no answer. Guest guest
Actually I think she has tons of cookbooks. May skip that idea, but she would be grateful in anything your big hearts desire, even a card. hugs, carolg > I believe you can be safe with alternative books, positive thinking > books for sure, Louise Hays perhaps talk. > > She has no choice but go the medical route, but maybe with the Fund > established she will be able to go some natural routes once after the > radiation/chemo or whatever.
