Guest guest
On one of the other threads I saw someone was interested in learning how to meditate. I recommend checking out www.neilslade.com. It's a large website run by an artist guy, but there is a ton of good information and SIMPLE methodology that works, a procedure called brain popping or clicking one's amygdala. Basically, Neil Slade was a research assistant for a maveric brain researcher who developed a methodology for tripping the mechanism in the brain that activates the transcental experience that mystics speak about (moksha, samadhi, satori, nirvana, etc.). Rather than falling back on religous system dogma (can anyone say yoga?) there is a simple step by step procedure based on an understanding of the brain, it's 3 primary parts (reptilian brain, mammalian brain, primate brain), behaviors associated with each level, and stimulating the amygdala to be able to conciously shift from one a lower brain state to a higher state in which the frontal lobes predominate. The developer, TD Lingo, is now deceased but Neil is teaching his method. I was exposed to it before I left for a year to train in a yogic method but at the time lacked experience to go deep with it. In the yoga I got deep enough in an " authentic " practice to hit some peak transcendatal states. However, in India I figured out that there was a LOT of cultural religous baggage that I didn't want to infect students with. Coming back to america I looked deeper at the brain clicking methodolgy that Mr.Slade is teaching and saw that the yoga method was activating the same brain centers that Mr. Slade was talking about only without the dogma and without the " Guru is God " syndrome. Since then I've been teaching students amygdala clicking as a primary means of entering into an expanded state of conciousness. That opens the door for any number of meditation techniques and has countless applications for healers. Check out his website (I don't get any kickback from him, I just saw something that was simple enough to make sense and work and feel that it's my social duty to share with others). There are 4 radio interviews that are awesome but there is a host of articles also. Get a sense for what's being taught and try the method. If you like it, his training materials are dirt cheap and easily shared. It is hard to contain the enthusiasm I have for this. SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE works, our brain's are hardwired for higher states and for some reason we weren't issued an operator's manual for understanding brain functioning when we were born. When I'm helping a client one of the first things I do is teach them how to click forward, then I go about the EFT, reiki, or herbs. In the long run it's usually the brain clicking that alleviates more suffering, the clients come back and consistently talk about how they used the brain clicking more so than than the other stuff.
