Guest guest
This is a new one. Could it be an allergic response? A contaminatined culture? One thing is for sure , this is not a typical observation by drinkers. You make no mention of how much you were drinking or for how long. This can be key because all kinds of reactions can happen when detox begins for new drinkers. Give us a little more history so we can best advise. Also do you have allergies in general? - Len Tonsilitis Dear K T family! I have been brewing and drinking kt for the past 4months, just 2 weeks back I started having tonsillitis, the more I drank kt the more the inflammation increased. I ended going to see a medical practitioner against my will, because my believe is that kt must help my body with the healing process naturally. I was injected and the inflammation disappeared immediately. After 3days of being healed I started the kt again and the tonsils reacted again, what can you say about that
Guest guest
Sounds to me like you are detoxing crap from your body. Especially things that injected! When we heal our bodies are getting rid of " stuff " (tumors, preservatives, artificial flavorings & colorings, etc...) I detox through my eyes. When I go through a period such as you described I cannot wear my contact lenses. Some folks get pimples or rashes. We eliminate waste in different ways when it is sped up by changing our diets for the better. I was taught to embrace the detox and rejoice your body is healing. My detox took place (and still does periodically) 8 years ago when I quit cooking my food and became a raw food vegan. Felt like I had the flu for about a week and now it comes very rarely, but when it does it's very bizarre. Last time it happened I tasted cigarettes and I haven't smoked in 18 years! I've tasted or smelled Captain Crunch (haven't had a bite in over 30 years). Vitamins I have ingested in more than 40 years and so on................... Guest guest
Hello, Sounds like the Jarisch-Herxheimer Effect: when the body is fighting infection, the infection will release toxins in the body as it dies. This creates a temporary worsening effect. Try brewing a cup of mullein tea, straining it, and then soaking a clean rag in it and then put on your throat as a poultice. It should bring down the inflammation. Guest guest
Ohmigosh! I forgot all about poultices. I used to use soaked fenugreek seeds and raw carrots in a muslin wrap. And drink fenugreek tea as well. Shari
Guest guest
, The tonsils are part of the lymphatic system (immune system). I still have my tonsils at 53 and they act up periodically and have my whole life. I take this as a signal that my immune system is fighting something. I know that KT detoxes various toxins out of the tissues and into the bloodstream. I wonder if you're not drinking the extra water (and I do colemas) to flush those toxins out of the system through the organs of elimination. ________________________________________________________________________ ___ Message: 2 Date: Wed, 31 Aug 2005 08:54:48 +0200 From: " Matlolela - Dambe " <smatlolela@...> Subject: Dear K T family! Guest guest
I just found a Home Remedy website with lots of good information on causes and cures. I will try some things immediately but the one thing that I did find out is that he doesn't empty his bowels everyday so that explains why his body is toxic. Its so not fair seeing your child suffering like this and sick so I intend to make sure he stays healthy after this. Out of all six of them is the one that doesn't eat as much fruit as the others, loves meat, pasta, bread, chips etc all the foods to block his body up and make him toxic. So far their is no puss. I have him gargling with sage and salt water. Is there anything I can try. He doesn't eat much when he is sick. I know he needs to clean up his diet as much of it is probably coming from a toxic body. Thanks Tracey Be a better Globetrotter. Get better travel answers from someone who knows. Guest guest
Hi Suzi No I don't have any supertonic. Can never ever find and horseradish root either. I don't have access to anything else you've mentioned either I only have Mullein, Coltsfoot & Horseradish (which I bought for Carl). I can't buy anything either because I'm completely burnt money wise again this week but that's nothing new. I've been getting him to gargle salt water and sage tea, been squeezing him an orange at a time and trying to get him to drink water. They have got puss on them now and he has had a temperature poor kid was shaking from cold a while ago. He has settled to sleep. I made him a juice this morning as suggested on the site I found with carrot, cucumber and beetroot. I also made him lime, honey with a little salt in water to sip. I'm just going to let his body fight this one out. I get a lot of pressure from MIL and Mark about taking kids doctor when sick. They don't understand the natural approach much at all. I can educate Mark but MIL is a completely lost cause. Thanks for your help. hugs Tracey

Guest guest
Tracey, So sorry for the little guy. Wondering if dairy a culprit. Wonder if cayenne would help with garlic perhaps in a soup or even a tea. Online: Dr. , newsletter, cayenne benefits may want to google for. Guest guest
Hi Carol We don't have much dairy at all but from now on it is going. We have slipped heaps in the past 13 months diet wise and it is time to clean up our act. Poor hasn't eaten much for 3 days not that it will do him any harm anyway because he does have a weight problem. I think he has suffered too much from tonsillits twice in about a month and 2-3 bouts during the year. He is all for getting healthy and the others are going to follow too whether they like it or not. Thanks for the hugs need them right now going through a bit of a hard time emotionally too much on my mind and too much stress and pressure on me. Guest guest
Hi Tracey, Great he doesn't do much dairy. I would still think he may want to eat something bland, even a broth, homemade with diakon, onions, garlic plus some rice or millet. Something soft. Also maybe miso paste. Tell him to feel better and take in some REST for you too. Gotta keep mom strong. hugs, carolg > > Hi Carol > > We don't have much dairy at all but from now on it is going. Guest guest
is doing much better now his tonsills are still swollen and his voice funny but he was up and about today, played at little and he was hungry so that is a good sign for Jess. Now all I have to do is keep him away from all the crap that he loves so much and hopefully keep his body clean and avoid him going through this again. Guest guest
Tradey, Great Jess is on the mend. Can you explain to him that eating better can help with his tonsils? Kids today at 9 are very smart.
