I think under these circumstances -- with people donating time, money,

expertise, and supplies -- Gloria will get a lot more bang for the buck than

if she had tried to have these repairs done herself. There's a lot of work

to be done, and I'm grateful that it'll be finished before she gets home --

and that she'll have a nice cozy, snug house for the winter.

I can imagine rehab being outrageously expensive if somoeone had to

I don't think anyone has even thought about contacting the newspapers at

this point. And I'm not sure she wouldn't feel a little awkward about that

-- I think I would.

The doctors who saw/are seeing her at the hospital have taken all the

information about the original MD she saw and are handling it. Evidently,

the woman said she " didn't make enough money to care " about people with

Gloria's kind of insurance. Wonder how much she needs to abide by her

Hippocratic Oath?

I don't know what all they're doing. I think they're starting with a home

inspection to see what all needs to be done.

I think her dryer was also dead so wonder if appliances

are in the works too? Recently I think she bought a refrigerator or

maybe it was last year. Maybe the stove went out at one point

recently and had to get a new one or was planning on a new one.
