Thank you for doing this Sharyn... I guess they will have to deal with those of us who have already sent cards and packages... if we had known we could have held up... Suzi"Sharyn E. Oh how wonderful of this person. I'm so glad to hear that Gloria is getting such good care and some much needed help. I couldn't afford to send any cash with the burdock, but maybe next month when I'm in a bit better shape I can manage that too. I printed up your address so when I can I'll send it on to you. thanks for letting us know dear.

Sharyn,

Wow, please tell Debra she is a miracle along with you to get this

ball rolling.

Thankfully, Gloria's mortgage does not seem high, but without any

income all is high.

Glad she is getting the much needed, repairs done she couldn't

afford to do. We were recently talking and she said she couldn't

spend another winter in that place: hauling coal, then the roof or

maybe it was ceiling or wall that crashed in so she would have had

to be living somewhere else and couldn't think about it with all

this pain...it was a minute at a time for her...just getting through

the pain. House sounded like in the country or woods area in

desolate area of 4,000 people where even getting up the hill when it

snows was a challenge so she would have to park her car

below....regardless, glad there are people who do make a

difference. I believe it was the house she and her ex lived and

owned 30ish years ago and she still lives in.

I can imagine rehab being outrageously expensive if somoeone had to

do it from their own pocket. Wow, a whole new house it sounds like

to me--everything fixed up....and maybe even new stuff too...sounds

like Extreme Makeover!

If the checks are in Gloria's name then unless endorsed over to her

ex, it can't be cashed. If it was written to cash, then I assume he

can cash the checks.

Only the endorsement on the back will show that I assume.

Very nice of all to give of themselves and surely for some it may

have been a budget stretch too.

I'm going to do the homemade stuff with the card.

I believe the house is still co-owned with ex too who doesn't live

there.

Now at least it will be more livable for Gloria there regardless as

it wasn't prior to this large renovation--OVERHAUL. Wow, can we get

before and after pictures? Maybe Debra can take it for the

newspaper to write about this outreach that has started with her

local help.

She was quite a " handywoman " for sure, but absolutely she will get

more bang then if she ever did it on her own with the community and

resources coming forth. She didn't have the resources for

improvemens. I think her dryer was also dead so wonder if appliances

are in the works too? Recently I think she bought a refrigerator or

maybe it was last year. Maybe the stove went out at one point

recently and had to get a new one or was planning on a new one.

Appliances don't live forever, but I can say my upright Whirlpool, I

believe, is still alive about 30 years now.

Sharyn great about the pictures.

Has she contacted the papers or can one of us do that. This type of

recognition should be noticed for time, investment in a human being

many don't know, etc. Maybe upon completion that can do a news

story or even one for the TV local stations. Debra and the

community are doing absolutely unbelievable and hardly heard of

outreach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder what the original MD is thinking these days about Gloria's

tumor and emergency surgery? MD could have killed her off.
