Guest guest
Okay. Please let me/us know if there is *anything* we can do! Love, Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of MorningGlory113@... Thanks Sharyn. A friend of mine has been making me macrobiotic platters nearly everyday so I won't need Meals on Wheels. People have been very generous with bringing me food.

Beautiful souls, like those on this list, have very powerful thoughts that can reach anywhere in the universe. Hugs Tracey
Guest guest
I just received a call from the advocate I *somehow* -- don’t ask me how! – found near Gloria and she told me that she took Gloria to the doctor today and they immediately took Gloria in for emergency surgery. That if she didn’t have the surgery she may well be paralyzed. So…Gloria is in surgery even as we speak…please send her your thoughts and prayers…and if so inclined, light a candle for her here: http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng & gi=HAWK Sharyn
Guest guest
Sharyn, Thank God for you, hooking up with the advocate and the emergency surgery. I left Gloria a message last night, and was getting to call her. Thanks for the post. Oh, Sharyn, Gloria has a list of phone numbers as I asked her that last week so you were probably on the list or ....regardless we needed to know as I don't have Ernie's last name, number or anything. Now we know Gloria is getting the care she deserves. Will light candle soon. Guest guest
I am so glad you were there Sharyn. I had a feeling she would end up with surgery over this. I'm so glad she got there before it paralyzed her... all it would have taken would have been one wrong move... At least now we know we can help her heal up fast. She is continuing to be in my thoughts and prayers. Suzi"Sharyn E. Guest guest
I recall Gloria and I talking over the phone about surgery. I c ould hear her say " Carol, they can't do surgery for my back--it's not an option. " Maybe those words were not exact but she didn't think surgery was an option. Thank God for the advocate. Gloria has had other visitors but the advocate was the force that got action thanks to Sharyn of course. Unbelievable what people have to go through. One night this week Gloria was in such pain as she said it was either a call to the hospital, and had someone to take her, or more pills which she took and konked out. She used to say " Carol, I just need to get out of this pain--I can't live this way. " She was in pain 24x7. She was thinking the cancer in the breast spread to the back and that was a reason also for no surgery. The first doctor she went to her strung her on forever and seemed to ignore her problems and severity. Even after recent tests on a Friday, the doctor worked half day, hospital tests were in immediately, and still the doctor didn't get back to her for days. I actually think Gloria was the one who called for results. Regardless this doctor was not your best doctor. She gave Gloria no hope, but live in pain, with meds. Waiting patiently for updates. Let's continue remembering Gloria in our prayers. What a great list this is!!! You all make it so. hugs, carolg health , Suzanne <suziesgoats@...> wrote: > > I am so glad you were there Sharyn. > I had a feeling she would end up with surgery over this. > I'm so glad she got there before it paralyzed her... all it would have taken would have been one wrong move... Guest guest
I asked her about them when we were on the phone, and she said they were being taken care of. She also said that by the time Gloria came home from the hospital (at least a week), Meals on Wheels and home care would be in place. Thank goodness for advocates! Sharyn -----Original Message----- From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of cgiambri Gloria had people in mind for the cat care. I hope that too is being taken care of in the middle of it all. Sharyn, maybe you can find that out from advocate.
Guest guest
I did, too. It just makes me a little angry (*for* her, not *at* her) that she was allowed to live in this debilitating manner for so long before anything was done. 8-( At least now she’ll get the care she needs. Guest guest
This is what happened, according to the advocate. The cancer had spread to her spine and she had a tumor in her back that was exacerbating the injury. Or had been exacerbated by the injury. In any event, that was the purpose of the surgery. I have her phone number at the hospital, but don't think we should inundate her with calls. I'll call the advocate later on and come back with an update. Guest guest
I would almost bet it was because she could not afford the bill as in no insurance etc. as wrong as that is... alot of medical people operate that way Suzi"Sharyn E.
