Guest guest
Just spoke with Gloria. Everyone can call Gloria as desired she said. Her direct number: 610 898 5868 est (PA) Watch for updates in case she gets moved to rehab. I plan on calling her daily. Anne, she received your generous gift and it went to help with bills. I don't recall names of others who sent financial gifts. We didn't get into that but she said it is all going into expenses. Funds are being set up via the advocate's help for expenses as well. She mentioned one church is doing that. Sounds like more is on its way and Debra I believe is meeting with Gloria tomorrow to share more. The advocate, Debra,is totally working on this all day and night to the max. her MD: True, the doctors at the hospital do have information about the original MD and this doctor has treated other patients this same way. Probably there wasn't an advocate for them as there is for Gloria. Let's pray this doctor does not have another patient see her. She's part of Gloria's insurance plan so I suggested that she needs to be removed. Maybe add that to Debra's pile of work. newspapers/media: I don't think she would feel ackward as she is very blessed and amazed at the outpouring of support in the community from total strangers. The word that Debra does in the community as an advocate is remarkable and I know she is not there to help for the sake of gaining recognition, but where recognition is due I believe is just. She has been working on Gloria's case non stop. She has or still is an advocate for 50 cases. She is not paid either. She woman is on a mission to help others. There are not enough Debra's to go around, so when someone has given her life to strangers, I feel it is a great story for the papers and media vs. the bad guys on the news or cover stories. Just me. Oh, she's been doing advocate work that Gloria knows of I believe 5 years and she is funding it all on her own too. Now how many can brag about a Debra, Sharyn, Suzi or any of you here who care and do help! I love you all. Cats are both at her house being cared for. Cards are coming into hospital, flowers and balloons. She is being blessed by all--strangers, some local friends and communities new friends. People are coming together that come to visit her and helping each other now. Wouldn't it be fabulous to get that help and care without ending up in a hospital bed? Her ex, Ernie has been very helpful. She has a great relationship and she trusts him totally with everything going on. He is meeting with contractors in next few days. She said she probably will end up in Rehab during the construction period. She is wearing a brace. Ernie and co worker brought her to the hospital when she was in severe pain and they had just come over to visit her at the house. They took her then to hospital and had to beg the hospital to not send her home. They said they didn't have enough reason to keep her. They agreed to do one more test she never had: cat scan that showed emergency surgery and it saved her life! Cat scan was never done! hugs, carolg > > I don't think anyone has even thought about contacting the newspapers at > this point.
