Guest guest
Hi Cat Thanks for your reply. I am looking for the cream-type cleanser. One for dry skin and one for acne skin too would be great if you have one for that. And one for exfoliating would be great too!! Thanks > Hi : > I have a ton of recipes...are you looking for a soap or cream-type cleanser? > Exfoliating? > Cat >^-.-^<
Guest guest
Hi : Here are a bunch I collected from the 'net and other sources: A very basic cream type cleanser would be: 3/4 oz. beeswax 1 oz. olive oil 3 oz. almond oil 1/2 tsp. lecithin Melt oils and wax together in a double boiler. Add lecithin and mix well. Cool and beat in: 1 oz. rosewater 4 drops rose e.o. Lemon Cream Cleanser 3 tb. almond oil 1 tb. beeswax Melt together and let cool. 1 tb. witch hazel or 1 tb. lemon juice 1/8 tsp. borax 6 drops lemon e.o. Put everything into a blender and beat on low until mixed. Turn to high and whip until creamy. Cold Cream 4 oz. white beeswax 2 cups almond oil Melt together, set aside. Separately, mix: 1 1/2 tsp. borax 5 oz. rosewater When both mixtures are cooled to the same temperature, beat the watre portion into the oil portion until creamy. Dry Scrub Mix 16 oz. uncooked oatmeal, ground fine 8 oz. almond meal 4 oz. cornstarch 1 oz. grated soap Mix well. Another version: 1 cup grated soap 1 cup powdered oatmeal 1 cup powdered milk few drops e.o. These are from Rosemary Gladstar's books and are very good: Aloe Cleanser 2 oz. commercial aloe vera gel 1 tsp. almond oil 1 tsp. glycerine 1/2 tsp. grapefruit seed extract 8 drops sandalwood oil 4 drops rosemary oil Blend together well Miracle Grains 1 cup finely ground oatmeal 2 cups white clay powder 1/4 cup finely ground almonds 1/8 cup poppy seeds 1/8 cup finely ground lavender flowers 1/8 cup finely ground rose petals a few drops of lavender, peppermint or orange e.o.'s To use, mix a tablespoon of the grains with a small amount of water, honey, rosewater, etc. to make a paste. Cleansing Gel 1 cup hot water 1 1/2 tsp. pectin or tragacanth 2 tsp. gelatin Mix together until dissolved. Add: 1 tb. honey 1/2 cup glycerine 1/2 cup liquid soap few drops essential oils Cleansing Gel 2 tb. glycerine 2 tb. cornstarch Gently heat together until clear. Add: 1 tsp. chamomile extract Oily Skin Cleanser 1/2 cup grated soap 1/2 cup cornmeal 1/2 cup almond or oatmeal, ground fine few drops e.o.'s To use, mix about 1 tb. with a small amount of water. Orange Flower Cleansing Cream 1 oz. soybean oil 1 oz. almond oil 1 oz. cocoa butter 1 tb. beeswax Melt together. Beat in: 1 oz. orange flower water 1/8 tsp. borax 5 drops neroli e.o.
