DHARNA of CSWS in front of Surat District Collector’s Office

Dear Forum members,

We have launched an indefinite “DHARNA” in front of District Collector’s

Office against Government apathy in rehabilitating sex workers, ousted from

Chakla Bazaar area. We have started “DHARNA” from 04/09/2003 and will

continue outside the collectorate till our demands are accepted. At the end

of 5th day of “DHARNA” (08/09/2003) nothing is happened in our favour from

the Government.

Friends we are facing very bad situation. The owners of the houses locked

the houses and many of us have now became homeless. Amongst us 200 CSWs (our

sisters) are facing hunger problem. The conditions of 60 innocent children

are miserable and looking towards your support.
