Guest guest
I have found a article relating to congenital superior oblique palsy (also know as 4th cranial nerve palsy), plagio, facial asymmetry, and torticollis. The superior oblique muscle controls the upper outward turn of the eye. ( this page shows what the eye muscles control http://cim.ucdavis.edu/Eyes/Version1/eyesim.htm ) My daughter age 5 1/2 has congenital superior oblique palsy, with plagio and facial asymmetry but not torticollis. She also has other congenital anomalies. We had been seeing a Ophthalmology since she was 6 months old, the congenital superior oblique palsy wasn't picked up until she was 4 1/2 years old. I understood the article as it suggest the congenital superior oblique palsy causes the plagio and facial asymmetry, as it. I not sure I agree with that. Here is the article: http://www.aapos.org/pappostp5/paper96_8.html Amy Clugston mom to Lorna 5 (undiagnosed) & Jadon 1 from Michigan www.geocities.com/amy76jo www.geocities.com/undiagnosed_syndromes
