Guest guest
Lou: Hi & welcome to our group. Many parents in here began their child with a band or helmet " later " . My daughter began her DOCband therapy when she was 11.5 mos old. She wore one band for 4.5 mos, we rec'd 50-60% correction, she had severe plagio, so I'm thrilled with her results. Click here for Abby's before & after photos - she's the last child on the page, dark hair: http://www.plagiocephaly.org/support/before-after.htm Beginning therapy " older " , you might not get 100% correction, but I said any correction is better than none. What type of band is Zach wearing? A DOCband or STARband? I do not have any info regarding glasses. I don't remember anyone else's baby who has also had to wear glasses while wearing a band or helmet. Why won't his glasses fit under the helmet he is wearing? I'm surprised to hear that, my daughter did wear sunglasses a couple of times that fit under her band. Could they adjust the band or glasses to make it work so he could wear them both w/o any problems? Just a thought. 1 year is definitely not " too late " to see correction. Good luck. Be sure to keep us updated on Zach's progress. Debbie Abby's mom 3/1/00 DOCGrad 2/16/01-6/22/01 MI > Hi!
