Guest guest
, I think it is good that you have already seen some improvement. That seems to rule out that the band is causing him discomfort. Does he sleep well in the band? I have to say that it is pretty rare that parents notice a marked personality change with the band on as compared to when it is off. I wish I had some great advice for you, but it seems that 2 weeks isn't so long and maybe he just needs a little more time to adjust. Everyone adjusts to new and different situations in their own way and in their own time. I'm sure that this must be quite frustrating for you. Try and hang in there - is it possible that he is teething? Good luck and please keep us posted. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Seems like my baby 's story is different from the others I read. The casting (12/12/01) was not a problem - he was warm and tired and didn't mind it. But adjusting to the STARband has been difficult. He doesn't mind anymore when I take it on and off, but his personality is a little less bubbly when it is ON. His temperature has adjusted, because we first attributed his personality change to being overheated, but that's not it at all. When I take the helmet off, I get big smiles and lots of chattering. I can get smiles and babble with it on, but just LESS - less often and less enthusiasm. He seems a bit overwhelmed with the helmet on. Does anyone have a similar story? Any theories? BTW, his head is not as flat as it was! Some good news there.
Guest guest
Hey - I am not really sure why seems less than enthused when he has the band on. Some kids just never really can get used to it and maybe he is just like hhmm what is this on my head. Obviously it is not uncomfortable as he would let you know that I am sure. Maybe as he continues to adjust it will get better. Sorry I could not be of more help! beck
