The earlier the better, ! Don't feel uneasy about your decision.

I wish we had the opportunity to start at 4 months! My Hanna started at 6 months, in treatment for 5 months, and didn't receive 100% correction. Her head was misshapen from birth, so if we could have started at 4 months, we would have jumped all over it!

has anyone started the helmet at 4 months?

Hi all I was just reading this article that I think Jen(?) attached about the study done on kids with the plagio. It also stated 6 months to 1 year was the best time. Grace is one week away from being 4 months is this to soon?? Has anybody else started this early??I am hoping that we are doing the right thing?? Thanks For more plagio info

Hi:

My younger son started the band at four months. He has been in it for about 6 weeks, and is making some inprovement. We are already looking into the second band, since he seems to be growing so much.

Good Luck

Four months is not too early. It just seems that the peds are more reluctant

to make the plagio diagnosis that early - they are more inclined to want to

" wait and see " if it rounds out on its own. Gracie isn't too young - you

should get good correction even quicker at that young age.

If anything, Grace will be out of the helmet in lightspeed because you have started at an age when there is much growth to take place- so prepare to be done and over it before you know it! Fantastic!
