Guest guest
: How awful for little Noah!! I have heard of plagio regression, but not this severe, and not at such an older age. I would assume that cranio could be possible at this age, although I'm certainly not the cranio expert! If it is cranio, the band wont help. Please let us know what your neuro says, and keep in touch. Big hugs to you and Noah! Kendra in Canada Hi... Hello everyone. I have been a member of this group for a while although I don't post much anymore since my son graduated. But we are facing something new now and I wanted to post and see if anyone else might have a similar experience. Noah is 18 months old. He was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly when he was 6 months old. He wore a DOC band for about 4 months. We were very happy with the results. His head was very near perfect. Recently we noticed that his head has gone right back to it's before band shape if not worse. He started having seizures in October so we have been seeing a neurologist. The neurologist noticed his head shape immediately. On Monday we had an MRI done because of the seizures. Well on the MRI it was obvious how "crooked" his head was. So the Neurologist told me to get in touch with the Neurosurgeon. So that is what I did. The Neurosurgeon seems to think he has Craniosynostosis. So we have to go see him on the 26th and he will schedule a CT scan. So my question is. Is it possible for the plagio to develop again, even though he does not sleep on his back anymore and he is mobile? Would a DOC band help at this age? If we did a DOC band again what would keep it from going right back again? Is it possible to develop Cranio at this age?Noah is also having several other issues. He has recently developed epilepsy, he has a developmental and speech delay, he has some hearing loss, he is losing reflexes for no explained reason. Thank you for any information. Guest guest
, I'm so, so sorry to hear about the problems your family has encountered. I'm glad you are seeing a specialist. I hope they can help you sort this all out. It is uncommon for the head to regress, but I have heard other people here say the same thing. God Bless you and I will be praying for you and your family. Guest guest
Hi , I wish that I had some information to help you, but unfortunately I am not very familiar with cranio, and my son with plagio is younger so I am just learning about that. I do believe I have read in previous posts that other parents have experienced some reversal after graduating from the band/helmet. This seems to be less common, but I am fairly certain I have read about it within the past month. It sounds like you have a great team of doctors on your side. Hopefully all went well on the 26th and you have a CT scheduled. Hang in there! You and Noah will be in our thoughts. ~, 's mom (6 months) Massachusetts Hi... Hello everyone.
