Guest guest
Hi Kendra and everyone, was born in September 2000. He was born with torticollis which caused him to always rest his head on his right cheek. At his 2-month well-baby visit, I mentioned that his head was getting rather flat on that side and asked what we could do to correct it. The pediatrician told us, " It will correct itself when he starts to sit up. " At his 4-month visit, before I even mentioned it, she said she was going to give us a referral to the craniofacial clinic at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Seattle. This was mid-January 2001. We got an appointment at Children's for early February. Then we had to get an appointment at the orthotics clinic, which didn't happen until the end of April 2001 (they take older babies first and didn't consider him " older " ). He received his helmet on April 26 and graduated September 6. I can't say it was easy nor can I say it was difficult. I can say, looking back on it, that it went by very fast. I really appreciate all the support and knowledge this group has given us. Thanks and Happy New Year! & (15 months) helmet 4/26/01 - 9/6/01 Redmond, WA ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 21 Date: Tue, 01 Jan 2002 22:08:03 -0700 From: Kendra <p-nutsmum@...> Subject: Happy New Year! ~ January's Star...
