Hello all,

Happy New Year.

Wow I am going to write down my goals and see if putting them here will help

me to maintain.

First my two biggest (weight related) challenges are not exercising and

eating my largest meal just before I go to bed between 1-3 am.

GOAL #1

Weigh and write down everything I eat. Every time I stop the bite and write

for more than a month I tend to gain. Weigh it and write it down.

GOAL #2

Journal my exercise. Try to find the positives in exercise to write about. A

friend who inspired me to start losing this weight said he ran for two years

before he started to enjoy it. I can't imagine doing anything I dislike for

two years so I have to learn to like exercise quickly.

GOAL #3

I think I will try to walk for 3 hours a week, in January. At 3 cals a

minute this should take off almost 600 cals a week.

TENTATIVE GOAL #4 (subject to change)

I will try a deficit of 500 cals a day. I read somewhere that for 220 lbs I

need about 1800 to maintain my weight so I can try eating around 1300 cals a

day.

400 breakfast

400 lunch

300 supper

2 snacks at 100 each

I know i can eat like that but is it too low?

GOAL #5

Each month I will try to add another 250 cals worth of exercise. therefore

in Feb I will aim to walk 4-5 hours a week. I know I walk very slowly but my

gait is very uneven so I always think I am falling over.

GOAL #6

By May/June to have added enough exercise to move up to 1500 cals a day. but

still maintain a goal loss of 1lb a week.

GOAL #7

To build muscle through weight lifting.

To the lady who walked five mountains CONGRATULATIONS!!. Thanks for the

inspiration.
