Guest guest
Tata Steels to offer its facilities for HIV/AIDS programmes NEW YORK: Tata Steels is among seven global corporations operating in the developing countries that have promised to use their facilities to expand HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programmes in the communities where they do business to buttress United Nations efforts. The others six companies are Anglo-American, ChevronTexaco, DaimlerChrysler, Eskom, Heineken and Lafarge. The initiative will start in India, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Russia and South Africa. The seven corporations are members of Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBC). The use of existing infrastructure will reduce the costs of new and scaled-up national programmes, the corporations said. http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/businessline/blnus/02041704.htm
