Guest guest
rememebr I said I used to use a stick of butter BEFORE ever hitting the table (yikes!!!) I love the ic an't believe it's not butter now - as well as the parkay one. I grab 'em when they run 2 for 1 or $1 a piece - this last sale I was able to get a tub and sticks too. the only thing I wouldn't put it on is popcorn! --- Myssi <justmyssi@...> wrote: > Thanks , butter is my weakness. I LOVE butter. I have been doing really well with out it lately. But I am not cookin with it or using it on anything right now. I just need to remember to cook the safe foods just better and watch my portions, Thanks for reminding me that. Live, Love, Laugh
Guest guest
same here - meat and patatoes! you only ruled out about 5-8 veggies - there's still so many left. I figure I gave up whole milk - so to me 2% is good enough. I have to laugh at the turkey - I did try it, not bad but I never used it again because it just didn't look right in the leftovers - a total head issue --- Myssi <justmyssi@...> wrote: Meat was always sucha big part of our meals so that has been really hard. The biggest problem I am having is I dont eat celery, peas, broccoli, spinich and most beans. So it really makes eating healthy a problem. I am trying to build myself up to buy any other kind of milk besides 2% and I just cant do it yet. So for the most part I have cut milk out of my meals. I am also trying to build myself up to trying that turkey burger my neighbor keeps talking about and I just cant do that yet either. LOL I know most of it is in my head but I just cant make myself think thats ok yet. LOL Live, Love, Laugh

Guest guest
I know I am my own worst enemy, but I have to start somewhere. If I change everything about me at one time I know I wont keep with it and then I will really fail.

Guest guest
after visiting the sparkpeople.com site (thanks ? - sorry for the site it's great!)today I read this: A frog tossed in a pot of boiling water will hop right out. Put a frog in cool water instead, and it’ll stay put as the heat gets turned up. The difference is that small changes aren’t even noticed. Every day, whether you think so or not, you’re faced with small opportunities to make healthy choices and build healthy habits, to make changes that you may not even notice. In front of the TV, at lunch with the boss, talking on the phone – the opportunities are there. You have the chance now to get good at recognizing those small windows of opportunity. --Gross visual but it makes a point! Guest guest
I make healthy tacos once a week. I use ground turkey, lettuce, low-fat or Fat Free cheese, salsa and low-fat sour cream. It is better than the full-fat ones and I actually like the taste of the healthy ones more.
