I'm one of those obsessive-compulsive people who sometimes *do* weigh daily, sometimes multiple times a day. You'd be amazed at the fluctuations! A person can gain as 10 pounds during the day, depending on how much you drink and your bathroom habits, and you can retain that weight for a day or two then lose it all overnight.

Case in point - On Friday I was 279, Monday 282, Tuesday 285, and this morning I'm down to 281.5.

I *know* I should get rid of the scale, but I tried not replacing it last year when it broke and hubby took a fit. He insisted we have a scale in the house, "just in case." "Just in case" of *what* he couldn't say, but he's even more obsessive compulsive than I am and said we just have to have one. I tried to hide it from myself, putting it in a place that required me to climb a stepstool and move packages out of the way to get to it, but that only slowed me down - I still reached for it daily, so now it's back under the bed.

Maybe before the kid goes back to his college classes next week I'll have him hide it from me. This way I'll have to wait until the weekend to weigh in. :)

This is so true, since I've gotten back on track, I've already dropped

8 of the ugly pounds I gained over Christmas!! I knew it HAD to be

water weight!! tomorrow I'll see how much more water weight I shed.
