Hi . From everything that I've heard from my pediatrician and

cranio specialist, the earlier you start them with the treatment, the

better. We started Abby right at 5 months, and I'm glad we started

so early. I'm sure Gracie is ready if her pediatrician and orthotist

are both on the same page and think she is at a good age to start.

Good luck. I hope today went better than yesterday. It will get

better very soon!

I went into Cranial Tech's website and found they treat children as

early as 3 mos.. They are the leader in treating plagio with their

bands, so you can trust what they say. Here's a short comment I

copied & pasted from their webpage. For more info, check out their

webpage to put your mind at ease that you are doing what's best for

Grace. www.cranialtech.com

Here's my copy & paste:

>>If your child has been diagnosed with positional plagiocephaly, and

is between 3 to 24 months of age, we can help. Dynamic Orthotic

CranioplastySM was developed in 1986 as a nonsurgical alternative for

treatment of positional plagiocephaly. It works by capturing and

redirecting symmetrical growth of the head. Treatment is most

effective in the first year of life, when brain growth is very

rapid.<<
