Dina-

I looked up in my medical dictionary and found the definition of funduscopy. It is relating to, or by means of ophthalmoscopic examination of the fundus of the eye...

Which, the definintion of fundus, besides relating to the uterus is: the part of the eye opposite the pupil.

Myopia is: a condition in which the visual images come to a focus in front of the retina of the eye because of defects in the refractive media of the eye or of abnormal length of the eyeball resulting especially in defective vision of distant objects, also called nearsightedness.

Hope this helps! If you need any more definitions, let me know.

Hello,

Yesterday I got the report from my daugter, 's (5 1/2 months)

visit to the neurologist. There is a sentence and term that I do not

understand. Maybe someone is familiar and can help me out. In the

paragraph the doctor is describing what she sees is wrong with

. The sentence I am confused about is - " Funduscopy - possible

myopia noted. " The sentence before reads " The right hemicranium and

face are more prominent then the left " . I do not know

what " funduscopy " and " myopia " is.

Today we go to the neurosurgeon for a second opinion. Even though,

my heart is telling me she will need a helmet.

We apprecaite the help and have a nice day.

Hi Dina,

When you see the dr for the second opinion be sure to ask about those terms.

I'm sorry I can't be of any help with them, but I'm sure someone hear will be

able to help you.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
