> Anyway, the situation now is that he is now 18 mos and at the last

appt (Jan 3) the ortho said to take the band off because it wont make

any difference now. The problem is I wasn't there to hear her

explanation. Last time I went she said to keep it on for as long as

possible, until he outgrows the band. My husband and rest of family

want it off. He is not wearing it now.

What do you think?

I am particularly concerned because he sleeps on his back. Could I

leave it on only at night? I thought that might be OK because his

head is growing really slowly right now.

Hi :

I just posted a message/question to you last night! Your ears

must've been ringing. Personally, I would keep the band on him as

long as I could if there is still some flatness. You've come this

far, you might as well go the long haul. I know how sick of it you &

your family must be. Cranial Tech. treats up til age 2. 's

head growth has slowed, but it is still slowly growing which

could/will result in more improvement.

yes, you could leave it on him just at night if that's what you

desire. I've heard a lot of parents do that at the end of their

child's treatment.

My question to you last night, was does wear glasses?? I ask

only cuz I searched the archives last night about glasses & helmet

wearing and saw a reply Niki had made to you saying that

could wear his glasses once he graduated. If so, there's a new

member of the group who's concerned about her child wearing both a

band & glasses.

Good luck with your decision, it sounds especially difficult becuz

your family is ready to be done with it. Let us know what you decide

on.
