Guest guest
Anne, Jeez! I don't blame you for being mad! I would drive whatever distance required to make sure my child was educated properly. I would agree that is pretty selfish. It's unfortunate about the potential teachers strike, maybe it will not occur when push come to shove. Marci
Guest guest
Anne, I'm not saying that I don't agree with you. However, you have to respect the choices your sister makes for her own children just as you would wish her to do the same, even if you don't agree. I know it makes it tougher b/c she's your sister. Also keep in mind that the strike may not last that long. You may be getting upset over nothing. It's possible that the teachers of Alberta may make an agreement sooner than you think. I grew up in a school district in Michigan where the teachers were striking all the time...I don't remember it ever lasting more than a couple of weeks. " Don't count your chickens before they're hatched " . If it does turn out that it lasts longer...your sister may change her mind anyway. Good Luck (mom to )
