That is so great that you talked with her- I bet you made her day! You can feel so alone with this that's why its so great to have this support group! What are the odds that someone was going to actually walk up to her in a grocery store with arms open for acceptance and understanding about this! Good for you! I hope she checks into the group!

Saw a banded baby today!

I was just so excited! I was leaving the grocery story on my lunch break and saw the cutest banded little boy. I was so bummed I was in such a hurry to get back to slaving away at work so I only had a few mins to talk to the mom. He was wearing a STARband from the same hospital Abby rec'd hers ( a different orthotist though!). She told me his story, he's been in his band about 4 mos with a while to go yet. I saw him and screamed "oh a helmeted baby!" She looked at me like I was crazy! Then I told her about Abby, etc. and we became instant friends. I gave her our group address & my email so we could "talk" more. I hope to hear more from her. Man, just this past week, I've had so many plagio stories or plagio related.
