Guest guest
Hi all- Grace has been in her helmet now for almost a week and seems to be adjusting well....I swear I notice a difference already on the side that drifted due to the tort but maybe I am just fooling myself! Anyway tomorrow we go to the ped. for her 4 month checkup and while I know that he will make me feel like she is the elephant man I know different. I was wondering about those who have kids with the assymetry, how long did you wait before you went to see anybody about the eye? I have an appt with a pediatric opthamologist next week but I am wondering if I should have her wear the helmet for awhile and see if the eye corrects out. I hate to have to take her to more appts then is necessary right now and perhaps the neurologist (whom the ped. is making me go and see) will have some more hints on what to do as far as when to make the appt? It is the eye on the tort side that the cheek is raised and I am not sure a ped. opthamologist can help anyway with that? Also part two....I wasn't paying close enough attention to those that had the problem with drying out of the head from the helmet. She isn't exactly drying out but there is a patch where the helmet has pressure that seems a little rubbed off from the helmet so she has a little raspberry on her head. Any suggestions on what to do with that?? Thanks and Gracie
