Guest guest
Thanks for all the nice comments. It really wasnt a big deal. However the entire reason behind it is the lady I take care of... Her roomate. Bless this poor lady. She is 72 (I think) but she is all alone in this world (Like so many elderly) and she is very juvinal in her thinking and talking some times. She has no living parents, siblings, hubby or any children (Dont know if she ever had children but there are none now) she became a ward of the state and they gave her a guardian. I am sure her guardian means well but I just didnt like how she treated her or even talked to her. This poor lady cried when I bought Faith (the lady I care for) a new gown. She cried she wanted something pretty to sleep in. It broke my heart to see her cry and be so alone and scared. Sooo off I go to get her a gown. I happened upon these robes and just knew I had to take them there. I am not afraid of too many things in this old world but being old and alone in a nursing home is really one of my biggest, if not the biggest fear I have. With my Mom we had a HORRIBLE time in 2 different homes so it is a very sore subject with me sometimes. So I just wanted to do what I could to help a few who might not have anything. It really made me feel good to do it on my birthday too. Thanks again for the kind words, and the idea to do it for a shelter is a great idea too!!
