We had thought about going to the U of M for a helmet when Abby was

1st diagnosed. Then the STARband was available to us after a short

delay becuz of FDA problems so we went with that, it was just a 5 min

drive from our house. We ended up getting Abby a DOCband after her

STARband didn't work. We drove to Chicago every other week for

adjustments, 4 hrs one way (not fun with a spaztic one yr old!). But

it did help her head so it was definitely worth it. Ann Arbor is

about a 2 hr drive for me.

I'm very happy that Tucker's head has gotten so much better. That's

terrific. You did the right thing by getting him a helmet so young.

probably be a couple of hours for you? I live in Troy so it's about

45 minutes for me. I am very pleased with Tucker's progress and

hopefully he will only have to wear his a couple more months. Thanks
