Guest guest
I hope to work at Children's mercy when I get my RN but right now I have to start at the bottom. I don't know if you have seen him but Dr. Colyer has been all over the news lately...he actually blushed when I commented on seeing him a few times. We were in PICU and not NICU but I don't know how they can do that job day in and day out..it broke my heart. They take care of both you and your child..some places don't treat parents well..thank god for them, huh. So what do you think about our weather?!! Im about disgusted...weren't we just in the upper 50's two days ago. For anyone else reading this..we here in KC are getting slamed with a huge winter storm..they expect more than 6 inches of snow. I don't know a lot about the Star band staff but when we were going through our insurance battles the cranial tech staff sent me coppies of insurance appeal letters and what information they could get. My biggest hint is to do a lot of internet research and print out coppies. Slam the insurance company with such a thick stack of information that they'll worry about what you will send if they deny you again. Its almost like writing a term paper but the longer the letter the better. Just remember to keep with all facts around the reason they list for not covering the star band. This group is wonderful! I have many dear friends that got me through some rough times last year and have always given me support even though Im a cranio mom...guess thats why I stick around. Hang in there it only can get better Mel > >.
