Dina,

GREAT news about adjusting to her STARband so well. Hooray! Really, the

time will fly by and you will be amazed at how well adjusted you and hubby

will be to it by the time it is over. For the first few weeks after

graduated we thought she looked so strange without her helmet on!

Good luck and keep us posted.

Wearing STARBand - So Far So Good

Hi, got her NicBand (Starband) on Friday evening. It went smoothly. I was very happy to get things started. But, unfortunately, my husband has a harder time with it then I do. But, after a fairly hassle-free first couple of days - all 3 of us are settling in. I have to say - does not band the band at all. She couldn't care less. It truly doesn't faze her. I read all the other posts that said the same thing but it was hard to believe. What a relief. She wore it for a few hours at a time Sat. and Sun. Yesterday, we went back to the orthotist and he made a few minor adjustments ( he said it wasn't tight enough). Now, it seems good. Only a few red marks when we take it off and they fade quickly. I went with her to daycare yesterday and stayed. I wanted to make sure that all her teachers were comfortable with her. They never had a kid with a helmet/band in class. All was fine. Now, I just hope things continue to roll along smoothly. I'm almost waiting for a bump in the road.As always, thanks so much for all the support and good wishes.Dina & (6 months)For more plagio info
