Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm just trying to catch up on posts, but glad to hear that so many babies just starting the process are doing so well! And I just LOVE the pictures of all these little cutie pies! Someday I'll figure out how to scan and send some along too! There's nothing that brightens a day more than to see a cute picture of a smiling little one, and I'm so jealous of all the snow everyone's getting! I LOVE snow, and we have had maybe an inch that melted within hours of falling to the ground. They are predicting a big storm for next week so my fingers are crossed! I also wanted to share, that at our helmet check Monday, we were in a fairly full waiting room and a dad looked over at and said "Wow, I guess he's got a pretty big boo boo on his head hugh?" I was so taken aback by this, especially so as I was at the ortho's office, that it took me a minute to respond. I briefly explained what it was and he just said "oh" and then went back to his paper. What I should have said, was yes, it is quite a boo boo, but he's just way too heavy and I keep dropping him all the time- obviously not true, but would have been far better for shock value! has been in the helmet for 7 weeks now, and his plagio has gone from being rated moderate to now mild. The ortho said we should expect another 5-7 weeks to get us where we hope to be. I am so relieved to see such improvement, and feel inspired by all of these graduation stories I read and know that it's not too long before he will 'graduate'. Just to see where he is now as compared to when we began really makes me feel like we made the right choice. For all of you fighting the flu, my thoughts are with you. had a pretty nasty stomach flu a couple of weeks ago that landed us in the emergency room for dehydration. Of course, after spending forever and a day in the ER waiting room, he woke up and started drinking pedialyte like mad- so by the time we saw the doc he was back to his normal self and I just looked like a crazy and neurotic first time mom! typical. We did see he pediatrician beforehand however, and she sent us to the hospital- so at least I felt a little less crazy when the doctor asked my why I was there again? I gave him unflavored pedialyte at home, but the hospital gave him orange flavored which he seemed to love. It took us over a week to get him back on his regular eating routine. Good luck! Thank you everyone for all of your support. ~, 's mom (6 months) Massachusetts
